4 month Dr. Appt

The girls went for their 4 month appointment on Friday. Here are their stats:

Ava
13lb 1oz - 40th percentile
24 1/3 inches - 60th percentile

Cate
12lb 6oz - 25th percentile
25 inches - 77th percentile

I cant believe how much they have grown! I am very excited about their weight gain from when they were 6 days old (1st pediatrician appt). Their stats from that appt are below.

Ava
5lb 7oz - 2nd percentile
19 inches - 22nd percentile

Cate
5lb 8oz - 2nd percentile
19 3/4 inches - 48th percentile

Update - February

Cate loves her hands these days. She just loves to stare at them and put them in her mouth. She also loves to look at my hands when I feed her and Ava's when they play. She tries to put Ava's in her mouth if she lets her. She is also really grabby these days. She loves playing with her toy keys and pulling on her toys in her play gym. She also rolls over from front to back during tummy time. She is not as strong as Ava, but her head control when she is on her stomach is really good. She also loves to laugh now. She laughs so hard when you blow on her tummy or kiss her neck. I think she is going to be pretty tickleish.

Ava is really strong. She loves to grab my hair and not let go. She is really smiley and loves to laugh at Erick. She is definitely a daddy's girl. She loves being in the play gym and grabs at all the toys. Her favorite right now is a little bunny lovey that she likes to take naps with. She is not yet rolling over, but she is already trying to crawl. When we put her on her tummy she scoots her legs like she will be able to get somewhere. It is so cute. She has been chattering a lot lately. She gets really loud and loves to carry on a conversation with me when I feed her. She does this a lot during her morning feed and I love it.

I have also started to put the girls in their Bumbos with the play trays on them. I put them right next to each other and Ava tries to take all of Cate's toys she can reach. They are starting to be more aware of each other now and they like to talk to each other. We now have them upstairs in their own room and in separate cribs. I think Ava notices Cate is not sleeping with her anymore. She has had a couple of rough nights, but I hope she gets more comfortable soon! They were doing so well, only waking up once a night to eat.

I have also gone back to work. I started back Jan 2nd and it has gone pretty well. The girls go to Kindercare, which is ok. I don't love it, but it works for now. The days I work are pretty hectic. We have to be out of the house by 7am so I can make it to Ft. Worth by 8. It is pretty tricky getting everyone ready that early.

Tummy time in our baby legs. I think these are so cute, but Erick thinks they look like they are in leg casts. I can kind of see that, but I still think they are precious.
